Album Info:In June of 2002, Milwaukee Road steam locomotive 261 came down to Chicago with a full train of cars to run 2 excursion trips. On Saturday the 22nd, the train went out and back to Galesburg, and on Sunday the 23rd, it ran to Rochelle and back (I rode on this one). A few days before these trips the train came down to Illinois, and I caught it twice, at the Mississippi Palisades State Park near Savanna and again at the Burlington Road overpass outside of Oregon. Not sure of the date, I believe it was Thursday the 20th or Friday the 21st. (Sorry about the quality, these are scans of photos from my pre-digital days.)
